The Challenge
Based in Southampton and established back in 1908, Stoneham Golf Club is a long-standing and much-loved club with a modern vision.
Stoneham had just built a brand-new, high-tech driving range – but their internet connection wasn’t keeping up. They also weren’t happy with how their clubhouse network was performing, so they asked us to deliver a full connectivity solution across the site.
What We Did
Here’s what the Yappl team put in place:
- We installed a high-speed fibre connection to a central location, then extended it out via fibre to the new driving range, clubhouse and pro shop – so every part of the site could benefit from a reliable connection.
- To protect against any downtime, we added a 4G outdoor antenna to the driving range as a backup – so even in the rare case of a fibre issue, they stay connected.
- We rolled out full-site Wi-Fi coverage – indoors and out – with separate networks for staff and guests to keep things secure and seamless.
The Results

- The high-tech driving range now runs without a hitch, powered by fast, stable internet.
- Everyone on site – staff, members and visitors – can enjoy a much smoother and faster online experience.
- Stoneham now offers a secure guest Wi-Fi network just for members, adding extra value to their club experience.
